Je vous souhaite la bienvenue dans les Alpes ! On est au Bourg d’Oisans, car c’est là que se rejoignent six vallées de l’Oisans, leurs rivières et leurs routes, qui datent parfois de l’Antiquité, voire de la Préhistoire. Ça fait donc une sacrée quantité d’Histoire à raconter, avec un gros point d’interrogation : pourquoi les gens sont-ils venus s’installer ici ? Pourquoi en plein Paléolithique, des humains ont décidé d’abandonner les grands troupeaux et les plaines fertiles pour monter jusqu’ici, où il fait froid, il y a des glaciers, et tous les dangers de la montagne ? On se doute que ce n’était pas pour faire du snowboard : en réalité, la montagne a une multitude d'atouts économiques, culturels et historiques, que l'on va découvrir aujourd'hui !

En ce moment aux infos, ça parle souvent de “crues historiques”, de “record de températures historiques”... Eh oui, on l’a déjà vu dans d’autres épisodes, le climat et l’Histoire… c’est très lié ! Une foule de chroniqueurs a noté dès l’Antiquité les phénomènes climatiques rares et les catastrophes naturelles, surtout quand elles étaient exceptionnelles. Les inondations par exemple, surprenaient beaucoup de monde, à cause de toutes les raisons possibles que ça arrive : fontes des neiges, fortes pluies, crues, séismes, tsunamis, ouragans…voire causes humaines, comme quand un barrage se brise ! Du coup, chaque époque avait ses risques, mais aussi sa façon de les interpréter : accident de la nature ? Châtiment divin ? Imprudence humaine ? C'est ce qu'on découvre aujourd'hui !

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a story I never could quite get into. When the anime released a number of years ago I like many others dived right in thinking it was the NEXT BIG THING! And for many it was but it left me wanting so much more. I didn't get it.

I sat through Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency, the two arcs that make up the first 2 parts of JoJo following the lives of Jonathan Joestar battle with Dio as well as the new arc concerning his grandson Joeseph. And really REALLY didn't enjoy my time. I thought the music for the two was fantastic with some amazing art direction. But I Totally Not Mark after my Blind Review Series of One Piece last year thought it might be worth checking out JoJo's manga. And let me tell you... the different in my experience was MASSIVE!!

So sit back and relax as I explore the ridiculous world that Araki has crafted to tell this bizarre story. This is Totally Not Mark's Review of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure!
