Jetés à la rue par leur famille, abandonnés par leurs parents au nom de prétendus pouvoirs maléfiques, ils sont affamés, maltraités, exploités sexuellement et parfois même torturés. Aujourd’hui, ils sont des dizaines de milliers à être livrés à eux-mêmes : on les appelle les « Skolombo ».

Accusés de sorcellerie, ils sont devenus les parias de la société nigériane. Survivant dans la plus grande misère, ils subsistent de petits larcins, de ramassage de déchets… quant aux filles, leur sort est encore moins enviable : proxénétisme et viols sont leur lot quasi quotidien.
Ce phénomène, plutôt récent, a pris beaucoup d’ampleur depuis une vingtaine d’années, alimenté par des prophètes autoproclamés qui cherchent à manipuler les craintes de la population pour faire fortune rapidementen proposant des séances d’exorcisme tarifées.
Au Nigeria, à l’Est du pays, certains adultes ont fait de la protection des “skolombo,” le combat d’une vie.
C’est le cas de Sam Ituama, qui mène sans relâche depuis vingt ans un combat contre l’obscurantisme et l’ignorance de ces familles et des faux prophètes. Malgré peu de moyens, son ONG « Child’s Right And Rehabilitation Network » multiplie les sauvetages en tentant de sauver et de réinsérer un maximum d’enfants

Au Salvador, la guerre des gangs fait rage depuis plus de trente ans. Le pays hors zone de guerre, enregistre le taux d’homicide le plus élevé au monde.
En mars 2022, une vague d'assassinats a fait 87 morts en deux jours. Le MS 13 et le Barrio 18, deux gangs rivaux, ont fait vivre au pays les deux jours les plus meurtriers des dernières décennies.

L’ancien maire de la capitale San Salvador, Nayib Bukele, élu démocratiquement à la présidence avec 53% des voix en 2019 à 37 ans, grâce à une campagne dénonçant la corruption et les partis politiques traditionnels, focalisée sur l’insécurité et une criminalité galopante, a aussitôt fait voter l'état d'urgence par un parlement encore sous le coup de l'émotion.
En huit mois, près de 60 000 personnes sont emprisonnées, soit 2 % de la population derrière les barreaux. Innocents et coupables sont mêlés aux membres des gangs les plus dangereux du monde.
Le prix à payer selon Nayib Bukele, qui s’est autoproclamé « le dictateur le plus cool du monde ». La politique ultra-sécuritaire du plus jeune président d'Amérique Centrale, à l’image charismatique et irrévérencieuse, est massivement soutenue par la population, traumatisée par 30 ans de guerres des gangs meurtrières.
Des gouvernements successifs ont pourtant mené des politiques identiques, négociant dans l'ombre des accords avec les gangs et présentant au peuple l'image d'un gouvernement intraitable. Sans aucun résultat.
En Amérique centrale, le modèle politique et la popularité inégalée de Bukele, dopés par l’utilisation des réseaux sociaux et une communication millimétrée, est envié par ses voisins.
En décembre, le Honduras a mis en place un état d'urgence sur le même modèle. Au Guatemala, journalistes et procureurs sont mis en prison. Au Nicaragua, la dictature règne. De quoi alimenter l’ambition de Nayib Bukele, qui se rêve déjà en leader d'une Amérique centrale autoritaire.

Dans cette nouvelle émission du Focus de Canal 10, Kalala OMOTUNDE a souhaité revenir d’une part, sur la thèse généralement propagée sur le polythéisme africain et le monothéisme dont les textes dits biblique et judaïque, en serait les initiateurs.

En y regardant de près, la radicalité de l’affirmation relative à l’unicité de Dieu dans les textes africains anciens (exemple : « Nétcher Oua », soit le « Dieu Unique » avec l’utilisation du terme « Oua » signifiant le chiffre « Un »), est loin d’être aussi clairement affirmée dans le texte biblique à travers les termes « Elohim » ou « Adonaï ».

Que disent les dictionnaires à ce sujet, les théologiens, les grammairiens, etc. à ce sujet ? C’est cela que nous vous invitons à voir.
