Dans l’histoire humaine, l’animal est partout depuis toujours. Déjà, parce que la viande a pu occuper une grande part de notre régime alimentaire. Et puis parce que les peaux, les os, la graisse et les tendons des animaux ont servi à confectionner des vêtements, des couvertures, de l’huile ou des outils. Mais pourtant, l’animal n’est pas qu’une source de protéines ou une caisse à outils. L’humain, qui fait partie du règne animal, s’est construit en se comparant ou en s’opposant aux autres espèces qui l’entourent. L’animal a servi de symbole, de modèle ou de fidèle compagnon, et ce, à toutes les époques. On va détailler un peu les différentes relations qui ont existé depuis des milliers d’années entre les humains et les animaux.

Each Orisha has its own rituals, colors, numbers, and offerings associated with them. Santeria practitioners often seek the assistance of these deities through divination and ceremonies to address specific needs or concerns.
