Ce film a été tourné par l’auteur dans des conditions d’artisanat absolu. Il retrace la vie des douze hommes d’équipage et les sauvetages accomplis dans des conditions de mer particulièrement violentes. Projection suivie de Rude week-end avec Erika (1999, 8’), images exclusives tournées par Hervé Hamon et montrant la prise en remorque de l’épave de l’Erika.
