Le Coran ... Une Lumière

Le Coran (le dernier livre révélé par Allah ) subsiste dans sa forme originale. Allah a révélé lui-même à ce qu'il soit préservé. C'est la raison pour laquelle le Coran a entièrement été écrit du vivant du Prophète Mohammad sur des feuilles de palmier, des morceaux de parchemin, des os...

De plus, des milliers de compagnons du Prophète mémorisèrent le Coran dans sa totalité. Le Prophète lui-même le récitait à l'ange Jibril (Gabriel) [...].

Plus tard, le premier Calife Abou Bakr chargea Zeid Ibn Thabit , le scribe du Prophète, de rassembler les écrits du Coran en un seul volume qui ne quitta pas Abou Bakr jusqu'à sa mort.

Il passa alors aux mains du second Calife Omar , puis à celles de Hafsa [ qu'Allah soit satisfait d'elle ] , l'épouse du Prophète .

Le troisième Calife Othman fit faire plusieurs copies de ce volume original et les expédia dans les différents territoires musulmans. Le Coran fut méticuleusement préservé car il devait être le livre des commandements qui allaient guider l'humanité pour l'éternité. C'est pour cette raison qu'il ne s'adresse pas seulement aux Arabes bien qu'il fut révélé dans leur langue. Il s'adresse à l'homme en tant qu'être humain.

L'application des préceptes coraniques est démontrée par la vie exemplaire de Mohammad ainsi que par celles de tous les bons musulmans.

Le Coran renferme des règles qui, s'appuyant sur les ressources accessibles à l'homme, ont pour but le bien être de l'individu. La sagesse coranique décide en toute chose. Elle ne condamne ni ne martyrise la chair mais elle ne néglige pas l'âme. Elle ne donne pas forme humaine à Dieu et elle ne défie pas l'homme. Chaque chose a sa place dans la création.

Ceux qui prétendent que Mohammad (que la Paix et la Bénédiction soient avec lui) est l'auteur du Coran soutiennent quelque chose d'humainement impossible. Un homme du sixième siècle de l'ère chrétienne aurait-il pu émettre des vérités scientifiques semblables à celles que contient le Coran ? Aurait-il pu décrire l'évolution de l'embryon dans l'utérus avec autant de précisions que la science moderne le fait elle-même ?

D'autre part, peut-on logiquement penser que Mohammad , qui jusqu'à l'âge de 40 ans n'était connu que pour son honnêteté et son intégrité, aurait soudainement entreprit la rédaction d'un livre dont la qualité littéraire reste inégalée et dont l'équivalent n'a jamais été reproduit par aucun de ceux qui forment le pinacle des plus grands poètes et orateurs arabes ?

Enfin, est-il justifié de dire que Mohammad , surnommé Al-Amine (celui qui est digne de confiance) par ces contemporains et dont les érudits non-musulmans continuent d'admirer l'honnêteté et l'intégrité, aurait soutenu de faux énoncés et entraîné à sa suite des milliers d'hommes de caractère, honnêtes et intègres, capables d'établir la meilleure société humaine sur terre, avec des mensonges ?

Qu'est-ce que le Coran ?

Le terme « Coran », est souvent employé en français pour désigner le « Qur'ân ».

Dans la langue arabe, « Qur'ân » est le substantif de « qara'a » (lire) dans le sens de « talâ » (réciter), ou dans le sens de « jama'a » (rassembler).

Dans le sens premier : « talâ », c'est un nom d'action qui signifie : « ce qui est lu ».

Dans le sens second : « jama'a », c'est un nom d'action qui signifie : « ce qui contient », car il contient des informations, des lois.

Dans le sens religieux, le Coran est la Parole d'Allâh, révélée à Son Prophète et Son dernier Messager Muhâmmad (que la prière et le salut d'Allâh soient sur lui). Il commence par la sourate Al Fâtiha, et se termine par la sourate An Nâs.
